Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (approximately 1 inch thick)

1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 cup chicken broth

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic, finely minced

½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Sear the Pork Chops:

In a large skillet set over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and allow it to heat until shimmering. Season the pork chops generously with salt and black pepper on both sides. Carefully place the pork chops in the hot skillet, searing them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they develop a beautiful golden-brown crust. Once seared, remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.

      Prepare the Slow Cooker:

In the bottom of the slow cooker, create a flavorful base by layering the sliced onions and minced garlic. This aromatic foundation will infuse the pork chops with rich flavor as they slow cook.

          Mix the Sauce:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the ranch seasoning mix, cream of mushroom soup, and chicken broth. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined, ensuring that the ranch seasoning is evenly distributed.

              Layer the Ingredients:

Gently place the seared pork chops on top of the onions and garlic in the slow cooker. Then, pour the ranch sauce mixture generously over the pork chops, making sure each chop is well-coated with the creamy sauce.

                  Slow Cook:

Cover the slow cooker with the lid and set it to cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The pork chops are done when they are tender and have reached an internal temperature of 145°F.

                      Serve:

Once the cooking time is complete, carefully remove the pork chops from the slow cooker using tongs. Plate them up and spoon the flavorful onion and sauce mixture generously over the top. If desired, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for a touch of color and freshness.

                          Enjoy!

Serve the pork chops with creamy mashed potatoes or a medley of steamed vegetables for a well-rounded meal.
