Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

2 lemons (1 for zest and juice, 1 for slices)

2 garlic cloves, finely minced

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

Optional: lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Marinate the Salmon: In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, zest of one lemon, juice of that same lemon, minced garlic, chopped dill, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Ensure all components are well-combined to form a flavorful marinade.

Prepare the Fillets: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a ziplock bag for easy coating. Pour the prepared marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is completely covered with the mixture. Allow the salmon to marinate for a minimum of 15-30 minutes at room temperature, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator if you prefer a more intense flavor.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and allow it to preheat for approximately 5 minutes. This step ensures an even cooking temperature.

Air Fry the Salmon: Take the marinated salmon fillets out of the marinade and gently place them skin-side down into the air fryer basket. For an extra burst of flavor, arrange thin slices of lemon on top of each fillet. Cook the salmon for 8-10 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily when tested with a fork. Note that cooking times may vary based on the thickness of the fillets.

Serve: Carefully lift the salmon fillets out of the air fryer and arrange them on a serving platter. For a vibrant touch, garnish with the optional lemon wedges on the side, allowing guests to enhance the dish with extra zest.
