Ingredients

For the Turkey Meatballs:

1 lb ground turkey

1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1 large egg, beaten

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

For the Spaghetti:

8 oz spaghetti (whole wheat or regular)

2 cups marinara sauce (your choice of homemade or store-bought)

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt, to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Additional grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer: Start by preheating your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Allow it to heat for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, beaten egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Mix the ingredients gently with your hands or a spoon until they are evenly combined—be careful not to overwork the mixture, as this can make the meatballs tough.

Form the Meatballs: With your hands, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls about 1.5 inches in diameter. You should yield approximately 20 meatballs.

Cook the Meatballs: Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the meatballs in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch each other to allow for even cooking. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time until golden brown and thoroughly cooked.

Cook the Spaghetti: While the meatballs are cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and set it aside.

Heat the Marinara Sauce: In a medium saucepan, pour in the marinara sauce and heat over medium heat. Drizzle in the olive oil and season with salt to taste. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes until it's warmed through.

Combine Everything: In a large mixing bowl, add the drained spaghetti and pour the heated marinara sauce over it. Toss the spaghetti gently to ensure it's evenly coated in the sauce.

Serve: On individual plates, serve the spaghetti topped with the air fryer turkey meatballs. For an added touch, garnish with fresh basil leaves and sprinkle extra grated Parmesan cheese on top if desired.

Enjoy Your Meal: Serve warm and indulge in the delightful flavors of your savory air fryer turkey meatballs with spaghetti!
