Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

6 slices of thick-cut bacon, each cut in half

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Optional: Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish

Optional: Fresh parsley, finely chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. This will help in easy cleanup and prevent the sprouts from sticking.

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a generous mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and freshly ground pepper over the top. Toss everything well until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated in the mixture, ensuring every piece is seasoned deliciously.

Wrap in Bacon: For each Brussels sprout, take one half-slice of bacon and wrap it around the sprout, tucking the ends underneath. If necessary, use a toothpick to secure the bacon in place. Arrange the bacon-wrapped Brussels sprouts on the prepared baking sheet, placing them seam-side down for even cooking.

Roast: Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast them in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes. Halfway through the roasting time, carefully turn the sprouts to ensure even crispiness. They are ready when the bacon is crispy and the sprouts are fork-tender.

Garnish: Once roasted, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the Brussels sprouts cool for a few minutes. For an extra burst of flavor and a touch of elegance, sprinkle them with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a handful of finely chopped parsley.

Serve: Transfer the crispy bacon-wrapped Brussels sprouts to a beautiful serving platter. Enjoy them warm as a scrumptious side dish or a crowd-pleasing appetizer!
