Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Glaze: In a small mixing bowl, combine the pure maple syrup, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Whisk them together until the mixture is smooth and well blended. Taste, then season with salt and pepper according to your preference.

Set Up the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Using a pastry brush, generously apply the maple Dijon glaze over each fillet, ensuring they are completely coated. Remember to reserve a small amount of the glaze for basting during cooking.

Bake the Salmon: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes. Keep an eye on it; the salmon should be done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Add Extra Flavor with Basting: About halfway through the baking process, take the salmon out briefly and baste it with the reserved glaze. This helps to intensify the flavors and creates a lovely caramelized finish on the surface.

Garnish and Serve: After baking, remove the salmon from the oven and allow it to rest for a couple of minutes, which helps retain moisture. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the fillets for a burst of color and flavor, and serve with lemon wedges on the side to brighten up the dish.

Enjoy Your Meal: Complement your glazed salmon with your favorite side dishes, such as steamed seasonal vegetables or fluffy wild rice, for a wholesome and delicious meal!
