Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 oz each)

1 bunch fresh asparagus, ends trimmed

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

2 teaspoons finely grated lemon zest

3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a small mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until the ingredients are thoroughly blended into a smooth marinade.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets into a large bowl or a zip-lock bag. Pour half of the prepared marinade over the fillets, making sure they are well coated. Cover the bowl or seal the bag and let the salmon marinate in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to infuse the flavors.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

Prepare the Asparagus: While the air fryer is preheating, place the trimmed asparagus in a separate bowl. Drizzle the remaining marinade over the asparagus and toss gently until they are fully coated.

Arrange in the Air Fryer: Once the air fryer is ready, carefully place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket. Surround the salmon with the coated asparagus, ensuring there is enough space between each piece for optimal air circulation.

Cook: Air fry the salmon and asparagus at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes. The salmon will be done when it flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus should be tender yet still have a slight crunch.

Serve: Gently remove the salmon and asparagus from the air fryer, careful not to break the fillets. Transfer them to a serving platter and garnish with lemon wedges for an extra burst of citrus flavor. Serve immediately while hot for a delightful one-pan meal.
