Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and roughly chopped

1 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature

½ cup sour cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for added heat)

Salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it's hot and ready for baking.

Season the chicken: Generously season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and onion powder to enhance the flavor.

Sear the chicken: In a large, oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully add the chicken breasts. Sear each side for approximately 5-6 minutes, or until they develop a beautiful golden-brown crust. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

Prepare the creamy mixture: In the same skillet (keeping the flavorful drippings), reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, stirring frequently until fragrant. Lower the heat further, then add the cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the mixture becomes creamy, smooth, and well integrated.

Fold in spinach and artichokes: Carefully incorporate the chopped spinach and artichoke hearts into the creamy cheese mixture. If you enjoy a little heat, don’t hesitate to add in the red pepper flakes. Adjust the seasoning with additional salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste.

Combine chicken with creamy mixture: Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet, placing them atop the creamy spinach and artichoke mixture. Spoon the sauce generously over each breast, ensuring they are well coated.

Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Bake until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Garnish and serve: Once baked, remove the skillet from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. For a fresh finish, garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

                    - Presentation Tips: For an elegant touch, serve directly from the skillet on a rustic wooden table or transfer to a decorative serving dish, garnishing with more parsley or a few slices of lemon for brightness. Enjoy your creamy delight!
