Ingredients

1 ripe avocado

1/2 cup Greek yogurt

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried dill weed

1 teaspoon dried parsley

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Avocado: Slice the ripe avocado in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the pit using a spoon or knife. Scoop the creamy flesh into a blender or food processor.

Combine All Ingredients: Into the blender, add the Greek yogurt, buttermilk, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Also, include the garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill weed, dried parsley, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Blend Until Smooth: Secure the lid on the blender or food processor and blend on high speed. Mix until the dressing is velvety smooth, pausing to scrape down the sides if needed to ensure all ingredients are evenly combined.

Adjust Consistency: Check the thickness of the dressing. If it appears too thick for your liking, gradually add more buttermilk, one tablespoon at a time, blending until you achieve your preferred consistency.

Taste and Season: Sample the dressing and personalize it by adjusting the seasoning. If desired, sprinkle in extra salt and pepper, or boost the tangy flavor with additional lemon juice.

Garnish (Optional): For an extra burst of flavor and a pop of color, mix in freshly chopped chives before serving.

Chill and Serve: Spoon the finished dressing into a serving bowl or an airtight container. Place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to develop and mingle beautifully before sharing.

Prep Time, Total Time, Servings: 10 minutes | 40 minutes (including chilling) | Approximately 1 cup (serves 4-6 people)

Presentation Tips: Serve the dressing drizzled over fresh vegetables or salads. A sprinkle of chives on top adds a lovely visual touch. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a week!
