Instructions

Prepare the Blueberry Glaze:

    - In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, water, honey (or maple syrup), and apple cider vinegar.

      - Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat while stirring occasionally. Continue cooking until the blueberries start to break down, approximately 5-7 minutes.

        - Once the sauce is bubbling, stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly until the glaze thickens to your desired consistency. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.

          Cook the Beef Filling:

            - In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

              - Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until they become fragrant and golden.

                - Incorporate the ground beef into the skillet. Cook, stirring and breaking it up with a spatula, until browned throughout, about 5-7 minutes.

                  - Pour in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Remove from heat.

                    Assemble the Wraps:

                      - On a serving platter, lay out the separate lettuce leaves, arranging them like little boats.

                        - Spoon a generous portion of the beef filling into the center of each lettuce leaf.

                          - Drizzle a spoonful of blueberry glaze over the beef filling and adorn with chopped green onions, cilantro, avocado slices, and a sprinkle of chopped nuts for a crunchy finish if desired.

                            Serve:

                              - Present the lettuce wraps immediately for the best experience, while the beef is warm and the glaze is freshly made. Enjoy as a delightful, handheld meal!
