Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 large egg, beaten

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Olive oil spray

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer: Begin by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). This should take about 5 minutes, which allows it to reach the optimal cooking temperature.

Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, Italian seasoned breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped parsley, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Use your hands or a spatula to mix everything together until well combined and the mixture is uniform in texture.

Form the Poppers: Take about 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture and roll it between your palms to form a small ball. Place the formed poppers onto a plate, repeating the process until all the mixture is shaped into balls.

Prepare for Air Frying: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray to ensure the poppers do not stick during cooking. Carefully arrange the chicken poppers in a single layer in the basket, making sure not to overcrowd them. If necessary, you can work in batches.

Air Fry the Poppers: Cook the chicken parm poppers in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes. Be sure to turn them halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Serve Warm: Once they are done cooking, carefully remove the poppers from the air fryer and let them cool for about a minute before serving. Present them warm alongside a cup of marinara sauce for dipping.

Garnish (Optional): For an appealing finish, sprinkle some additional fresh parsley on top of the poppers right before serving.
